I have had the worst coldsore outbreaks since I was a baby. I sometimes get up to three at a time in times of ill health or stress. As soon as i feel the bump (i don’t get a tingle anymore as it’s been 20 years!) i begin taking the aciclovir. It helps it crust faster than using cymex alone. It reduces my cold sore longevity from two-three weeks (scabbing included) down to a matter of days.
